International students can arrange accommodation with their own local family connections or apply to stay with one of our approved homestay family providers for an additional fee.
Homestay Accommodation
The homestay arrangements coordinated by the school for international students provides a wonderful family experience that enhances the educational advancement of the student. Christian values, exceptional facilities, dedicated teaching staff, great location and a genuinely supportive and caring environment all add up to a unique offering for international students interested in attending an Australian Christian school.
International students are partnered with families who are selected through a rigorous security process. Your child will be treated like one of the family and experience an unforgettable cultural exchange, forging a lifelong family connection and friendship.
Our homestay offering will include:
- Safe, clean, comfortable and welcoming environment
- Own bedroom with bed, wardrobe, study desk, chair and light
- Bathroom (own or shared)
- Three healthy meals and snacks a day – which may include ‘takeaway lunch’ items from the school café
- Travel to and from NCC each day
- Local sightseeing on weekends
- Optional access to Wi-Fi, Streaming Services like Netflix
Your child’s homestay hosts will help:
- Acquire school uniforms, stationery and other items for school
- Enrol your child in additional co-curricular activities (e.g. sport or music)
- Acquire a mobile phone and/or local phone provider SIM card
- Explain and show how to use Australian money
- Purchase additional public transport tickets for travel (if needed)
- Show your child the local shops (for purchases of basic items)
- Provide safety tips and advice
Homestay Support Services
NCC offers support services for our international students. These include:
- Phone or face-to-face support for enquiries
- Liaison officers who can speak your language
- Communicating with parents and the school where needed/required for example, student progress
- Health, well-being and pastoral care for students
- Medical insurance assistance
- Homestay assistance
- Visa information
- Enrolment assistance and fee payments
